Meticulous G

Single father of 2 boys who I raised mostly by myself from being just past toddlers (aside from auditioning a couple financeés, who didn't make the grade) to beyond adult, who are outstanding individuals, and are now on their own

I 1st played pool with my dad when I was 7, but really started playing pool in my early teen years, and loved the game so much, I spent as much time playing as possible until I started traveling at 18 for a bunch of years...finally settling down in Ithaca ny in late
'97 - '98, where I learned how to blow borosilicate glass (at a torch) and developed a decently lucrative business

Ithaca was great for getting back into playing, since there was a local hall, where I bought my 1st cue, brand new in '98...a Pechauer PR 9, which I still own and love

I continued to run my solo business until '05 when I had an accident, which broke my back, and took many years just to partially recover from, which kept me away from the game for waaay too long

My 1st few times back to the game began in '08 - '09, and until the other day in 3/24...I've been completely away since, which is just sad, considering my love for the game

I have no doubt I could've gone pro had things gone more in a direction which nurtured that, but whatever...I'm glad I traveled when I was young. Actually, I'm sure the same is true for golf as welll

Glassblowing is great for using those kinds of skills though, since it's the most difficult, precision demanding activity I've ever encountered

For the past bunch of years
...just being here for my family, aand a quiet, uneventful life, is more than good with me
