I hope everyone will excuse my ignorance but as I look at all the beautiful cues I am still clue less as to how they are made. I'm sure you can't go into details but could someone explain some of the basics of cue making to me? Also, can you explain the difference between: recut, veneers...

A friend had a cue like this. I believe the brand was vintage, although I didn't hit very well with the extension being used.
