Allen already had a chance earlier in the frame and he missed just a fraction less easy red for the win. That was already a monster of a miss only to be surpassed on the final black. Nighmare theater at the Crucible for Allen.

Gonna be a great final. But the missed black by Allen will haunt him for a long time. He still has never played a WC final and for sure the doubt is gnawing his brain if he ever will.

I felt bad for Neil, he started dogging big time and never seemed to feel comfortable at the table for the rest of the match. Higgins capitalized. Looking at the score of the last 4 frames, Neil had his chances in each frame.
