    Cuetec SVB Gen One

I've got one. I really like it. To be fair, I'm not a good enough player to really be a reliable source. It's my first high end cue. TBH I got it because I wanted a modern looking cue and was curious about the carbon cues. While the REVO costs just about the tip of a fighter jet, this cue was...

    Ball marker, what and where?

Thanks for the tips. I will look into it. To those rolling their eyes. I never said it was a big and complex problem. I said I knew there would be a lot of ways to mark it. I'm just interested in hearing what people use. I like gear, and having something at hand that is dedicated to marking...

    Playing By Myself at Home

Awesome. Thanks. They look fun. Fargo sounds like a fun alternative to playing the ghost. Will try it out tomorrow.

    Playing By Myself at Home

Sounds interesting. Would you elaborate on Equal Offense and Fargo? Or possibly post a link to an explanation somewhere? I'm nearly always alone at the table so I'm also looking for something fun to do besides just regular drills :)

    Ball marker, what and where?

Hi folks So, I was wondering: what do you call the metal thingies that refs use to mark a ball position when cleaning/moving said ball? I have searched and looked on stores but it eludes me... Normally I just lift the balls a bit and remove the magic rack fx. But I'd like something to help mark...

    Thoughts on permanent practise markings

I'm thinking of just marking the lines with "chalk string" (not sure if it has a special name in english). That way I will have the entire grid on the table. I can just dot the intersections and clean up the chalk lines. Seems to me like a good compromise between precision and hassle. I like...

    Thoughts on permanent practise markings

Some great responses here. You've already given me a lot to think about. I do not know anybody that cares about pool, so I have nobody to discuss these things with. I'm excited about the wealth of knowledge on this forum, and every response is much appreciated. I guess I have to think hard...

    Thoughts on permanent practise markings

Seems very cool, but also a bit expensive and cumbersome for my humble needs. That is golden. Nice to hear that someone has found it functional. Good idea with the yellow marker. I was thinkin of using something dark, but I see how the light color would make it less noticeable. This is encouraging.

    Thoughts on permanent practise markings

Yeah the permanent aspect is what has me worried. Otherwise I would just try it. I was thinking of doing dots. I feel like I spend a lot of time trying to figure out the right spots on the table when doing drills. I constantly walk around the table to try to find the right spot where "lines"...

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Hi folks. New poster from Denmark here. I have only been playing for around 18 months and I'm looking to improve. I almost exclusively play alone since there are no clubs or pool halls within 100 miles of where I live. But I got access to a table and am drilling balls as much as possible. Since...

    Thoughts on permanent practise markings

Hi folks. First time poster from Denmark here (sorry if my english is not up to snuff). Thanks for having me. I was wondering about peoples thoughts and experiences with making permanent (practise) markings on the cloth. Details below. Background I've always liked watching pool but never had...
