Thanks for your guidance, mechanic/player. Unfortunately, I got stuck on your first instruction: "Remove the rail...". Am I correct in assuming that I remove the four bolts under the table directly below that end rail to remove it?

I just noticed that the cushion at the end of my table has become detached and the ball doesn't bounce cleanly off it. It appears that the cushion is still attached at the ends but you can push down on the middle and see that it's become disattached. Must've been all those in-laws who visited...
