It is pretty simple, use whichever bridge that feels most comfortable for you. I myself use an open bridge because it it is less constricting on the stroke, as long as your stroke is level and true, that is all that really matters!!!
I will tell u what nobobody dares!!! If your stroke feels combfotable to u where u can make a shot and get reasonable position( in the vacinity of where you are hopeing). Do not change your stroke!!!! Fact of the matter is this, what I or any professional pool player deem to be an acceptable...
Simply put, there is no viewership for BB because most people including myself want to watch interesting games. One pocket, 9-ball rotation 10-ball..... Etc. BB is boring and will most likely never get any viewership simply because it is a boring and uninteresting game!!

This should not be considered unsportsman like. The rule is if you pocket the 9 ball the 9 gets spotted and is ball in hand for the opponent if the lowest numbered ball was not struck first.
