I just could not resist such a lovely colourful box 😄

Received some Palko carom balls today. Nice box, but the balls look like cheap Polyresin from China. I only found them in Australian webshops. Are they from there? Got them from France, and if so, they have quite a journey behind them 😄

Forgot to mention it, they are 57mm balls. I guess they are just normal balls, not from any specific game. That's why my first guess was a "build your own set" thing.

Besides my pool hobby, I have an extensive library of SF books as well. My collection exceeds way over 4500 books by now. And I collect wargaming miniatures and board games. I might just admit to myself by now, that I have an addictive personality who likes to collect stuff 😂

There are some games which require a player to just pot balls in any order without any numbers needed. Games like 14.1 endless could be played with a set like these as well. So maybe they were just made with games like these in mind?!

I collect them for different games, and have a list of a few hundred rules so far. Of course you can always replace them with normal balls, like from an American Pool set. But it is way nicer - and sometimes easier when playing - if the balls look nearly like they are intended to look like. And...

Another set today! Not sure about these. Might be Aramith, from one of these Blackball boxes where you can choose which 2 colours you want inside?! 🤔

They look really nice! And cleaning was the first thing I did as well. I cleaned them over 1h by hand with ball restorer and ball cleaner by Aramith. Only then I checked them carefully, to judge them in the best condition I can achieve for them 🙂

I am more of a player, but not on a professional level. I tried them yesterday and did not see any big problems. So I will just keep them, and maybe replace the 3 worst balls, if I can find replacements somewhere 🙂

I did specifically ask for scratches or damages, and the answer was clearly only scratches. I don’t know what can be misinterpreted in my question. And of course I expected used balls with signs of playwear. I would have been absolutely fine with that. I am not sure if they are rare, as they...

I paid 50,- for them. But the damages were not on the listing pictures and the descreption was ‚condition see pictures‘. As follows: I could not see any damage in there, but asked before buying to be sure. So he replied that he checked every ball and they only have minor surface scratches...
