    Practicing at home without a table?

    I've heard of the bottle method to practice a strait stroke, but are there any other ways to practice at home without a pool table? I only get out to the bar once or twice a week, and usually for competition, so not a lot of time to practice.

    Are small folding-type tables a good idea?

    Yeah i've seen those. They look awesome. My dining room is still not big enough for those, and neither is my bank account.. One day though :)

    I'm inclined to agree with this. What i'd really like is something like a long, narrow slate "table" that i can place on my dining room table to practice aim, draw, english etc, but using regular balls and have it be regular length. I've been searching google for something like this but only...

    Do new McDermott cues come with tips??

    I feel so dumb for asking this.. I just got a new McDermott cue, and its my first cue. I've always played with house cues, so i never seen a tip without chalk on it.. Are new tips supposed to look like this? It almost looks like the tip was ripped off.. Then again i've never seen a new tip before
