Matchroom does it right with their professional atmosphere. Scheduled matches, dress code, and so on. But I can also appreciate an old school tournament in a pool hall too.
You need to go broke gambling every couple years. That way you are forced to sell your whole entire case just to start over a month later. This method really limits how much one can accumulate.
You are the second person to correct me on this. I had a few schons and always found the hit to be soft. Maybe I had super soft tips on em. Or my memory is failing me. Either way, I guess I was wrong.
Too much is made of the tight pockets. I wonder if the people bashing 4” pockets have spent significant time playing on them. The table plays really fair with cleanish balls and newish felt, even for a chump like me.
I had a couple Schons that hit real soft. I’ve never played with a Runde though. I’d be curious to know if his cues have a similar feel. I hope to buy one of his cues soon.
I also find radial pin cues to feel like a softer hit. Am I the only?
