If I'm playing someone better than me (which is usually anyone I play:p), I'll play safe if I can't make the shot otherwise. It's the only way I can make sure I get back on the table.
What?!?! Call me crazy, but unless I'm playing in a dive bar, i'll play with my Hercek, WwwGilbert, or Mcworter cue. I didn't spend all that money just to stare at it.
I have a McDermott sneaky pete with their I-1 shaft to break with. I was playing at a pool hall last Saturday night and there were no house cues available. Someone asked me if I was using my break cue and I told him I'm using it and it was mine. He was fooled, but I wouldn't be since the break...
Are there any cases specifically made to store extra shafts/cue butts? I was thinking about just putting them in a fedex-type tube box and just wrapping the shafts with a thin layer of bubble wrap. Is that a good idea? I just want to protect the wood from warping and stuff like silverfishes when...
Nice. Other people who prefer smoking trees over getting drunk. I am in total agreement of that. No horrible hangover either when smoking quality grown stuff.
Withdrawal comes with the territory with stopping something like smoking marijuana. I could never play pool under the influence of something though. For pool, I need my total concentration on it and that's not there if I'm high or something. Congrats though with stopping your weed smoking.
I currently use an McDermott I-1 shaft on a McDermott sneaky pete for breaking. It does the job pretty well. If I were to buy another break cue, it would probably be an Andy Gilbert break cue. That's little bit over your price range though.
It hasn't affected my game. Then again I wasn't a regular smoke to begin with (it takes me a couple of weeks to finish off one pack). I just decided to drop it all together as I also go to the gym and it started to affect my ability to run. Your lungs will thank you for quitting.
I bought a Hercek cue not too long ago and it had a joint diameter of 0.900in. Seyberts was able to size a Predator 314^2 shaft with that joint diameter. I had to pay a little extra, but I didn't mind. Good job guys. I just wanted to give praise where it's due.
Wow. These cues look nice. I might have to put a self-imposed ban on the for sale forum otherwise I'll be broke soon than later:rolleyes: Anyway, sent you a PM about your cues.
