How Often Can You Run This?

rack 1: almost straight on 8, hard to get on 9 but got a thin cut and made 2: left thin on 8 but got good position for almost straight in 9 3: normal, good leaves except for 7->8, kept it easy otherwise 4: left a very thin 8 but made it and took hit to 9 pushing it out in the open 5: same as 4...

How Often Can You Run This?

I'll give this a try in a few hours, 10 attempts. My guess is I'll get maybe 3-5, we'll see... Beginning seems trivial, but staying in position for 3->4->5 is the part that can easily fail.

    Double the Distance Aiming ???

Yes, this is correct. And yes, I use the 3D points because thats where the contact/opposite contact points are in reality, so for me it's easier to just use their real positions and not flatten it out. But in theory it's the same whether you flatten the y-axis out or not, the x-axis position of...

    Double the Distance Aiming ???

    1. "is that on the part of the ball you cant see?" Yes, the opposite side of the contact point relative to CB center, so imagine like where the actual contact point is relative to CB center, then mirror that to the other side, that's the point I start at. 2. "last your X's are on a diagonal...

    Double the Distance Aiming ???

I read through the PDF and it appears that the incorrect version does some faulty geometry indeed (as seen in the image at page 4 of the PDF) cumulating in error the closer you are to the CB. I'm not fully sure why one would do it the faulty way in the first place, it just seems like adding an...

    Double the Distance Aiming ???

I think this depends on how exactly you do it, in my case at least since CB distance is irrelevant there's no error from being close or far. I can see if you use the CB/cue stick imagery somehow then distance starts causing errors.

    Double the Distance Aiming ???

Been using double the distance as my primary aiming method for some months now and have had good results with it. I used to aim 100% by feel before it, but especially on close cuts and awkward angles (back-cuts, thin shots etc.) I am much more effective with this than just aiming only by feel...

chat GPT ranks difficulty level of various cue sports

ChatGPT is basically just a sophisticated text prediction machine, using the entire internet as its source material. So asking it for a list of best pool players is analogous to reading the average opinion of everyone who has posted about the topic online. Not particularly useful.

    Predator Men's 10 Ball JAX

Where'd you hear/read about this? Just curious

    Predator Men's 10 Ball JAX

Anyone else noticed that Filler seems to play a bit different than before? Stays longer down on the shot than before on average, does tiny head movements on most shots while down and the stroke length seems more cautious. Probably tinkering with his technique?

Intentional Fouls … An Important Strategic Tool

Didn't get time to watch the video yet, but out of curiosity, does it contain an interesting case of purposefully shooting with the CB at an OB such that the OB flies off the table using elevation + power? e.g. in 8-ball to get rid of some of your own balls from the table while theres some...

    WNT Legends

Efren being 71 I don't see him winning this. It's probably going to the younger ones. Ralf is 56, Bustamante 61 and Earl 64.

    Aiming B.S.

This is the best answer so far. The system presented is clearly geometrically inaccurate, which has been shown multiple times. Yet, I don't think anyone has reasons to doubt that it works for Mensabum, so then the question becomes why it works for him if it's geometrically inaccurate. And the...

    Last ball syndrome

I agree with you 100%, I oversimplified my post for the sake of not having it be too long. Should've not used the "at all" phrasing there.

    Last ball syndrome

Just giving my two cents on this, while I agree with the general premise about fully committing to one intention (that is, the singular shot outcome that you chose), I wouldn't generalize it into avoiding two-way thinking as a whole. It is often useful to select a shot with such a cue ball...
