If your going with the Mcdermott I would stick with the stock Triangle tip that comes on it rather then change it out, the Triangle is a great tip imo.

Its probably not a good idea, I'd probably look into buying wooden shaft before I tried to sand the fibreglass off.

From those 3 deffinatly go with the McDermott, I have a Cuetec and hate the firbreglass shaft too, I now use a McDermott for my main shooting cue and love it.

After seeing the lower price I was quite interested in trying one, the dealer a few towns over had one and was able to try it out and really liked it. I emailed Mcdermott about having the rings matched to my Mcdermott MG31, with the cost of that plus sending my butt in to get the correct fit...
