When you see the word "Nit"

A NIT is definitely someone who is afraid to gamble who plays well. It is a pretty widely used term in the gambling world. In poker, it is a solid, tight player (plays good cards, very competent) but is unwillingly to put his money on the line unless he KNOWS he has the best hand.

    Answer to sticky hands?

I have tried purrell, and it works kinda. I will go try the 90% rubbing alchohol right now, seeing as the purell works basically because it is about 60% rubbing alc. brb heh

    Answer to sticky hands?

So yeah - my hands typically get quite sticky while playing. Whether it from my personal body temp being high or a warm pool hall or what - it just happens. Not the shaft, I burnish it regularly (for better or worse). First i started shooting with a glove, and frankly, really despised that. I...

    Enlightening DVDs worth their salt?

I tried a search and came up relatively dry, mainly because DVD can't be searched alone and didnt know what else to throw in with DVD. I am looking, obviously, for minor improvements coming from a DVD - no magic really. Sort of an overall DVD would be nice, but all areas of my game need word :p

Whats this Mike Sigel IPT "best-ever" crap

Very frustrating to watch the IPT 8-ball king of the hill on TV and have him, without fail, call himself the best ever 2 or 3 times per episode - when in reality there are several that march in front of him. And the fact that everyone in the boat buys into it. sigh. long live mike sigel as the...

So many pro's using SS joint

This has been an incredibly enlightening thread, thanks all. And yes, it makes large amounts of sense to think that during the era in which the 'older' pro's were learning, the only top end cues available, custom or otherwise, would come with a more structurally reliable material.

So many pro's using SS joint

This comes across very odd to me. In watching the IPT and US 9 ball champs the last few days, it seems to me that 90% of the pro's are using SS joints. I have seen pagulayon/bustamante/deuel/varner/strickland/hall/and a load of other pro's all using a stainless steel joint. in fact, the only...
