This is not correct. The balls are rotating, just very slowly compared to how fast they're spinning. If you watch for 60-90 seconds you'll see they've rotated.

Think you're looking at it as 9 Ball instead of more like straight pool. When you think about it, that's really what they're going for while keeping it as the "exciting" (oooh!) game of 9 ball. Who can just make more balls or make their handicapped number first, as opposed to a game like 8 ball...

This is what I don't understand. You put the CF in so it can be hollow (or filled w foam which I presume adds negligible weight), thereby reducing end mass blah blah it's lower deflection. So then what is the point of filling the CF with wood?

Thanks. I'm trying to do the bucket with the buffer but with the buffer on top and a lazy susan on the bottom. Been putting pieces of carpet between the balls but it's either too loose and the balls go to one side and the buffer falls on one side or it's too tight and the balls aren't spinning...

Believe that the rule in APA 8-ball is that, if your opponent shoots your balls, you can let him keep shooting them (in the same turn) until he gets to the 8. If you let him shoot the 8 he either wins by making it or if he misses your balls are now his. If you stop him before he shoots the 8...
