    Enough room or too tight?

That would be interesting to see/do. Unfortunately, I don't even know of a pool hall around aside from hard times. I'm more in the category of just happy to have a table. I don't compete or even plan to. I've just wanted another one since I was a kid, and I enjoy banging around. I do hope...

    Damn it! Well played!

    Enough room or too tight?

I assume that you mean put the foot 2' from the right wall? Yes, it is strictly for practice and fun. I think that I can get by with the final mock up I posted. It is tight.... But when I consider the deal I just got on the Diamond, and no viable 7' around... I just can't turn it down. I...

ARGH!! I just found a 9' Diamond Champion for $500... it is a ways up the road... but that is a steal!!

    Enough room or too tight?

Yeah, I don't really like the 7' tables. I'll just complain about the table being too short. It just doesn't "feel" right to me at all. 8' is what I was going for, but I haven't seen a single Brunswick 8 pro or decent 8' that isn't laminate or wanting WAY too much for it, and from what I saw...

    Enough room or too tight?

I have more than 5' around the entire table in that last drawing... except the one corner of suckitude. I don't understand how a 7' would be cramped at all... More info? I'd love to, but the wife has squashed that. My new plan is to make a fuss every time I'm in that corner... or better...

    Enough room or too tight?

Excellent point. I hadn't thought of placing the rack at the other end for that reason. I'll see if I can't get some boxes broken down and mask everything off as has been suggested. A light comes with the table, so I'll have to do it after the table is in :(. I did give one more push for...

I like the way you think!

    Enough room or too tight?

I kind of figured that. lol. But once I saw the GC4 for sale... well, I'm guessing many of you know how THAT goes. My only real option for the 9' looks like so. Which should be good, everywhere except for the one corner (which you're basically screwed on). The wife is unfortunately...

    Enough room or too tight?

You're referring to something like this? Also, placing the couches as you stated won't work. That leaves just about 2' if not an inch or so less of foot room between the edge of the table and the couches. So there is no room for the couches at all in this configuration, that I can see.

    Enough room or too tight?

This was my thinking when I found the GC4 for sale... I was going for an 8 thinking of space... Then saw the GC4 and said, why not just get what you really want and deal with it. However, as noted by Robertod, this is no small purchase and now I'm nervous that it won't fit and I'll get...

    Enough room or too tight?

The dimensions are as follows 19'8" wide x 21'10" long. However, there is the bottleneck at the bathroom. The width measures 12'4" I based the table in the Icovia designer on 113" x 65" which I found online when searching for the exactly dimensions for Gold Crown 4. However, my measurement...

    Enough room or too tight?

I definitely don't want a 7'. Every time that I have played on one it feels way too small (that's what she said). The dimensions for an 8' are about 9" shorter in width. I have no problem with length... as I have 21' of space to work with. Width seems to be the problem. I saw earlier...

    Enough room or too tight?

Yes, it mostly just for fun at home. I am by no means a competitor, actually, I'm a scrub noob. I had a pool table in my house when I was a kid and loved goofing off on it. Played quite a bit while on active duty and then off and on as an adult at places like Hard Times. I've always wanted...

    Enough room or too tight?

That would be more ideal, yes. However, the wife disagrees... as there is no place to put the sofa and loveseat. Here is an updated diagram... you can see what I mean.
