    New Room in New Jersey

With all the growth in that area sounds like an opportunity.

    New Room in New Jersey

New Jersey is a difficult place to do business for a pool room. Liquor licenses are prohibitively expensive if they are even available. It is definitely a different business model in this state as compared to most of the country.

    New Room in New Jersey

I’m sure it would be better if it free but there is a one hour minimum and after that it’s by the minute.

    New Room in New Jersey

I didn’t see a thread for new rooms but I wanted to let folks know we have a new room to play in. Located in Brick, NJ, Sticks and Stones Billiards, features 11 new 9’ Diamond Tables, two 8’ Diamonds, four 7’ Diamonds and a billiard or carom table (I don’t know the difference since I don’t...

    Cuemakers Taking Orders

Steve Lomax made two cues for me. Both delivered on time, as promised. Mike Lambros makes a great cue as well. A longer wait but a quality product.

    Lambros M.E.T. cue...

I was in Mike's shop today and was able to test hit his new cue design. I do NOT have an elite stroke and I was able to move the cue ball with much less effort. I'm no engineer, not a pro, or even a top amateur, but I could feel the difference immediately. Will this cue make me a pro? Hell no...

    Lambros M.E.T. cue...

I've owned a Cohen, beautiful cue, a piece of art almost, great ring work, etc, but a dead stick in my hands, I thought the shafts were horrible. I own a really nice Tascarella that is one of my favorite all time cues, but I've hit with others that had a completely different feel. I currently...

Mosconi was a generational player. Please don't compare the masses to the immortals.

    Lambros M.E.T. cue...

The only way to know if it's hype or reality is to try the cue for yourself, even then it will only be your reality. Different cues for different people. Mike Lambros makes a great cue, very consistent hit from one to the next. To me that speaks volumes about his design. Whether the cue suits...

The Biggest Flaw of APA's Handicapping

APA ratings are too generous. The rating should reflect some level of skill. 5's that can't perform a simple stop shot? 7's that rarely run tables? Give me a break. Winning doesn't mean you're any good, just better than the person you played. Toughen up on the criteria to advance and then maybe...

    The perfect GC1, 2, 3, 4, 5, &6, really?

The dude is just baiting you. Great info BTW, wish I could get you to setup my GC 1. The balls seem to roll off towards the rails and get sucked into the pocket. I'm sure it has something to due with the frame but the mechanic who set it up came back threw some shims in but never really solved...
