How many players in Nationals for NAPA

I just got back from Atlanta playing in the NAPA 8ball, was like 150 give or take in B bracket equal number in A bracket and not sure about C, D or E brackets. I finished 13-16 and got a check for 125.00. Even though I'm only a 54 I managed to beat some decent higher level players. A 51 from...

    WIN cue case......repair?

Sorry about double posting, this has been languishing in case review section for a week or so. Recently got a WIN 3x5case real cheap! Upon closer inspection, looks like interior lining is missing! Still has the three large tubes for butts but no tubes for shafts. Just using it for storage right...

looking for a "box" pointed cue

Calling it a "box pointed" cue is a little misleading. Instead of a traditional pointed cue, there would be alternating sized ivory rectangle inlays in the forearm. Those of you who have the first edition of the Billiard Encyclopedia, look at page 333. I've seen one here before but it was to...

What are the characteristics that distinguish a “banger” from a “real” pool player?

OK my two cents........ To me, a "banger" hits 75 to 80% of their shots at break speed! Has little regard to where the cue ball ends up but inevitably makes 60% of the shots (lucky b#st@rds!!) I rarely hit a ball hard AFTER the break, to me hard = miss. Now, I am a lowly skill level 4 in APA...
