Something I used to do was mark specific points (for repeatability) and practice the same bank with different angle/speed/spin. About 5 reps per shot type and move on to the next variation. This is a great way to fine tune your twist banking and the different ways you can hit the "same" shot...

I just got a Jack Madden and it is has the purest "hit" I have ever experienced. I guess it is all kind of relative, different strokes for different folks...

Personally, I would hit the shot with center ball. I feel I can adjust my cut angle for the CIT with much more consistency than adjusting for squirt and spin induced throw. Less variables to calculate = easier calculation, IMO...

I don't think it matters what the rule book says word for word in this instance. That can lead to too many arguments based on interpretation. The spirit of the rule is to prevent poor sportsmanship and dishonest play, and in this circumstance, the rule was used as an out clause for a coward...

I have always used a medium to medium soft layered tip (Moori, Kamui) and shaved off about 1/3 of the tip before installing... I like the chalk retention qualities of a medium-soft to soft tip but when they are brand new and thick the hit seems to spongy. With that little bit shaved off the tip...

Yeah its crazy for sure! I work at a peaker power plant just south of you in Elgin/Bartlett. We are getting some silly readings from ComEd's lines and lightning would explain it... The good news for you is if there are any power issues my plant will get your heater/tv/fridge back on...
