Thank you for sharing. I play BCA. I like that I get to play 5 different players in one night. My main cue is a Jerry Olivier with a McDermott G-4 wood shaft. I tried Carbon Shaft and I really like it, but I seem to play better with my wood shaft, almost 20 years of playing with it might...
I am asking out of curiosity, and it is also of interest to me with my involvement in the pool world.
What league do you play in? APA, BCA, TAP, VNEA or other
Do you play in local or national tournaments?
What table brand does your pool hall use?
What size pool table?
Cue preferred wood or...
I am considering playing in local / semi-local tournaments and I know some will take your non fargo rating and try to match it up to Fargo, and others will start you with a high Fargo and adjust in future tournaments as they learn your skill level. I may also play in some non-fargo events that...
For SBE, I believe the answer is no, but for events that are BCA-sanctioned YES you need a Fargo rating. The BCA would not let me play in tournaments except for mini tournaments and even there, they were going to give me a very high Fargo rating (this is per staff at the Fargo booth). So I...
While I do play in a BCA league it is not using Fargo system and doesn't plan to anytime soon. I want to spread out my game and start playing in local and small tournaments but to get a Fargo rating I have to play 200 games (outside of my league play) it will take me a long time. I'm stuck...
I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do I've been keeping track of my brakes and I would say I'm at 25 to 33%. They're nice breaks as far as the spread but that doesn't help me when nothing goes down.
I understand what you're saying and sometimes I thought of going that way with a softer break since all I do is spread them out and normally not get a ball in on break but I spread them so well I'm still trying to find my spot to break from that seems to yield the most breaks with getting a ball in.
Hi all,
I haven't played BCA league in a few years. My question is our BCA league doesn't use Fargo. So if I go to a BCA tournament elsewhere that uses Fargo how do they give me a Fargo rating?
