My Offering Hi guys i don't know if this is going to turn out well but I just received this cue from Ernie last week. Its got the most beautiful piece of curly purpleheart that i have ever seen and its amazing. Cliched but photos do NOT do this cue justice. No plain jane in my book! =)

Hi guys... i was just playing around with ideas.. but anyone know how a ivory handled cue (probably just a sleeve, cored with some wood) plays? would the ivory have an adverse effect on the hit and resonance of the cue? would it be durable? (eg, cracking, chipping, etc) would a 3-segmented...

As mentioned in the thread, does anyone know what cue marlon is using now? it looks to be with an ebony foream and butt with an ivory handle... but can't seem to find any pics of it anywhere. Help please? :D

ooh glad u asked... i was figuring since i am probably going to be playing with this for a long time i might as well experiment with the spine of the shaft and stuff, so i told mike to inlay a marking of sorts on the spine of both shafts.. purely in the name of fun.. :D

Let me try and locate the mink oil first.. :D i haven't exactly found any such products around here.. in place of the saddle soap would it be sufficient if i use something like pledge leather cleaner? basically i need to get rid of the dirt/chalk/grime off the wrap first, isn't it?
