I have been "told", so take it for what it's worth that only 3 or 4 manufacturers actually make their own carbon fiber shafts. I'd say Predator is probably the most popular by the number of cues they sell and I heard they don't make their own shafts or even fill them with whatever goes in them...

And while it’s actually African Blackwood and not Ebony, it looks close enough. Also an Astle.

Both are by Aaron Astle. First one has 6 Ebony points with Maple Veneers. Second cue, and the first one I ordered from him, is Ebony with a Quilted Maple handle. Both are cored with Maple, though he cores most of his sticks with Purple Heart. But Ebony is too heavy to core it like he wants so...

I love Aaron’s cues. I have 4 of them and two more being built now. They play wonderfully and his attention to detail is as good as any makers out there.

Unless things have changed, they work in the same garage and the number will get you to both of them.

Not the most popular joint, that has to be the main reason it hasn’t sold. If it were Radial or a 3/8x10 it would probably have been long gone by now.
