agree....3 of us had Zan tips installed and no sooner all 3 of us had slip cue multiple times. I know, it's the shooter not the tip. I got rid of mine but the other 2 guys still experience slips and continue to use them.

popularity depends on what part of the country you are in. There are many good brands out there. Given that, I think Predator and Schon are good choices.

try a Predator or a Schon. Good cues with good resale value. keep design and price simple. Prices go up with more inlays. Does not improve the cue.
