    3/8x9 shaft on a 3/8x10 pin?

I don't think it will work: Mezz butt with wavy joint pin + Predator 314-2 3/8x10 shaft = DOES NOT FIT Schmelke butt with 3/8 x 10 pin + Mezz Hybrid Pro 2 (wavy joint) shaft = FITS Go figure.

    60" (or longer) Cues ?

I hollowed out my Mezz cue extensions for that reason.

    60" (or longer) Cues ?

Make your own I bought the Mezz extension which is 6", for my Mezz Ace K. I then cut it into two pieces, 4" and 2". My friend had an extra metric hangar bolt so I was able to create two screw-in extensions. I own both 29" and 30" inch. shafts (Mezz and Predator offer 30" inchers) so I can...

The Cue To Improve Your Stroke - FYI

I've read on another board that the spring won't come into action even on blatantly incorrectly-cued shots.

The Cue To Improve Your Stroke - FYI

Thank you for this review. I was thinking of getting one of these, it seems like a great idea, but I'm discouraged by the fact that the cue doesn't break down AT ALL on "normal" shots (maybe if they made the spring weaker it would work better?). One exercise I have started doing is to stroke...

Thinking of acquiring a 60" cue and have questions.

Schmelke makes custom cue butts. I have a 32" butt paired with a 30" Predator 314-2 shaft. Works for me at 6'3" with long arms and a low stance. I would not have it any shorter. I always had my fingers hanging off the end of m cue butt on longer shots with a normal-length cue.

    3/8x9 shaft on a 3/8x10 pin?

I've been using it with the 3/8 x 10 pin with no problems so far. If I tap the shaft downwards after playing I will get a small amt. of sawdust though, just a tiny bit. Would anyone know, if this shaft were to get loose, what is a way to snug it up? Sawdust? Plastic wood? It is not loose now...

    3/8x9 shaft on a 3/8x10 pin?

I've seen several threads including this one describing the Wavy joint as 3/8x9. I own an Ace K cue with a Wavy joint pin. It definitely looks different than a true 3/8x10 pin, there are fewer turns-per-inch and the shape of the threads is a little different. Nevertheless, with a little...

    3/8x9 shaft on a 3/8x10 pin?

I'd like to put my Mezz Hybrid Alpha and Hybrid Pro 2 shafts onto a butt with a 3/8x10 pin. The shafts have Wavy joints, which (I've read on this forum) are 3/8x9. I tried one out and it screwed on fine and seemed not be damaged. Is this OK to do or am I going to be damaging the shafts?

    Snookersearch 2010

Hi everbody, I'm a beginning snooker player, I don't know much about the game but I love to get on the table and sharpen up my stroke. I recently decided to combine my love of cue sports and scootering on a trip from New York City to Georgia looking for snooker tables and cool pool halls...

    32'' capacity in cue cases

This is the 3 x 6 case I recently bought (in black). It holds 32" shafts, is spring-loaded and under a hundred bucks with free shipping. A truck could run over it and your cues would probably be OK. No offense to the custom-case makers, but why people go for those expensive hand-tooled cases...

    ................................

I live in a 300 s.f. 5th floor walkup apt. in NYC. I have a 2.5' x 5' foldable pool table in my living room. It's actually made pretty well, I bought it from Hammacher Schlemmer, but the size prevents any "real" pool action. Still I can practice draw, follow, combos, etc., and it makes me...

New MEZZ cues, does anybody use?

I've got a Mezz Ace K with both Hybrid Alpha and a Hybrid Pro II shafts. It's exactly as Nathan says, the Pro is a very hard hit with minimal deflection, the Alpha deflects a little more but has a more traditional hit. There is no forgiveness with the Hybrid Pro II but the cue goes exactly...
