    Best lightweight break cue

J.Flowers BRKR arrived yesterday. After a few practice breaks I was having really good success with it - pocketed at least a ball and spread the rack, on all three breaks in my match last night. Won 4-3 so I would say it was a big contributor. What I liked most about it was that I could do my...

    Best lightweight break cue

45 years ago when I played pool in Texas bars, I had marks cut into the cue I played with and broke with. It always sucked when you realized someone else was standing against a wall holding your cue, drinking a Lone Star and not even playing pool. Funny - I still remember the marks in the...

    Best lightweight break cue

Just contacted a friend who used to be on my team - I loved his break cue and it was a BK Rush. It wasn't a heavy cue so I assume he removed a weight bolt. In any case, the JFlowers is in the mail, so it's going to get tested before I consider dishing out big bucks for the Predator.

    Best lightweight break cue

The J.Flowers site says you can lighten it a little. I'd prefer 17.5-18, and if I don't love this one, I will look at 'Go Customs'. The only break cues I've ever owned were a Tibbits custom, a super-heavy Cuetech and a Hightower. I liked the Hightower a lot, but sold it when I moved...

    Best lightweight break cue

Reading another thread, I ended up ordering a J.Flowers BRKR. It was between that and the Predator, so I saved a little $$$. I played a guy tonight who used a Predator break cue - I don't remember which model. He was an APA 6 and was dry-breaking, but I'm sure it had nothing to do with the...

    Best lightweight break cue

I've been looking at discussions here about break cues, and decided to pursue one of the J.Flowers break cues. I can't find any information on the BK2 vs the BRKR, but I guess that doesn't matter, as they weight 18.5 ounces and up. I prefer a lighter break cue. Any recommendations? (other...

Here are photos of the French Brunswick 'propellor' label cue that Dave rebuilt for me: https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/brunswicks-evolution.48466/post-7635406

    Brunswick's Evolution

Brunswick French 'propellor' logo cue. Just checking out this old thread and realized that I had never posted photos of the rebuilt cue. I refinished it this morning, as the old finish was done using a method that I'm not all that crazy about, but it's what I knew at the time. The original...

    Lots of APA Drama Lately

For some reason I'm having a difficult time quoting, but this is in response to @SJpilot No, I wasn't picking a fight with him at all - quite the opposite. I knew he was angry, but I thought he was just mad at himself for playing so poorly. I've walked away from a table a little upset before...

    Lots of APA Drama Lately

Wow - I didn't see you there. You should have said something! You're condoning kicking someone in the balls in such a situation, which makes you just as worthless as the guy who kicked me.

    Lots of APA Drama Lately

No, I tried to get his attention several times. Before he kicked me he said "Don't ever put your hands on me!", and I backed off a little. Then the strike came. I should have left him alone, but he had expressed a lot of anger throughout the match and I thought I could smooth things over and...

    Lots of APA Drama Lately

Anyone ever get kicked in the balls after winning a match? I guess it's the replacement for shaking hands, among the younger generation (I'm about 35 years older than the guy). I tried to shake hands with him after the match, and put my hand on his shoulder when he wouldn't turn around to...
