i had owned an EC7-W before changing over to the ACE-801. the hybrid alpha shaft and wavy pin set-up of the ACE series seems to give a more solid feel and increased feedback.

actually i had the same thing happen to my kamui black medium. the tip had about four layers remaining and as i was chalking up, it just tore off and left about one layer remaining on the ferrule. but i like how it plays so i replaced it with another spare kamui black. will have to see if it...
