bringing this thread to life as after reading it i found that Lee made a series for the APA youtube channel where he goes to demonstrate the grip
the rest of the series is a good summary of his book and afaict his DVD
I saw this video series (3 in total) some time ago and tried it out a bit.
Its a fractional aiming system similar in some aspects to poolology but with simpler calculations when it comes to shots that are up to 5 diamonds on the long rail.
its worth to have this as a fallback just to verify...
Would it add any benefit if i attached an elastic band on a cue that is configured to move straight (by attaching it to a setup/device that only allows straight movement)
What i am trying to figure out here is: does the added resistance to the forward and back motion help make the move easier...
in most cases the shadows should be transferable to fractions of the object ball.
i.e line up quater cue ball with 3 quarters of the object ball as your starting point.
this probably is a nice thing to do early so the place lighting is irrelevant
I like the idea of SAMBA and it aligns with...
@hogie583 are you still following SAMBA or moved to something else during the last years?
What is your impression of SAMBA after experimenting with it?
Have a look on the linked video. Salux there only points to two alignment lines (C2E and C2C).
After that he creates a triagle showing him the shooting line.
I think it somewhat resembles the double the distance method
After looking at many systems i am now following a frankenstein like system which to my surprice appears to be quite successful.
Checking into a system posted by salux called the triangle system 2023
i modified it slightly and now i might be doing something similar to what (!trigger alert!)...
having a baseline to start from is the way to go imo. feeling can kick in after you know the general direction in which you have to align.
of course every table is different but that does not make HAMB(anks) have any advantage over a tested system (be it in a small number of tables) that you can...
recently came across poolometry and I like the work done there.
specifically the aiming with speed banking system. even though there are way more numbers to memorize than my bad memory can handle I think it's worth a try
so, even though it seems that the full download is in a permanent...
in case anyone else lands into this thread.
I have tried these

and planning to buy these

the ones I tried play ok and don't mushroom much. when cut it's like a very thick foam like material...
