Racking like Shane is not hard. Choosing to leave gaps in the rack where it suits you is not something I agree with, however. Rack your own causes this in a huge way.
Is it cheating? I wouldn't necessarily go that far, but it's definitely not something I want to see - players leaving gaps in...
I've been watching the World Pool Masters (Special Thanks to Genipool14 on Youtube).
The refs are racking the balls SO bad. The players are hitting the break as hard as possible, and on some racks, the balls are barely moving. You can see those "slug" racks over and over.
What's the solution...
I disagree. Players with solid fundamentals "Choke" far less than players with poor fundamentals. Those fundamentals may or may not hold up under pressure - but better the fundamentals, the more likely you are to succeed when pressure pumps up your heart rate.
Watch the 18 year old Kaci. There is a reason he is doing so well in the sport so young - he comes from Snooker and his fundamentals are excellent - he never moves even when the pressure is on. I wish he was an American he'd be a shoe-in for this team. He'd literally beat the socks off anyone on...
That's not exactly accurate. When your fundamentals are weak, you move more when you are put under extreme pressure. When your fundamentals are strong, you do not move no matter the pressure. That's the whole point - weak fundamentals cause the issue here, not the pressure.
There is a massive difference between cue sport fundamentals and any other sport, so it's really not a fair comparison. If there is any un-necessary movement on the shot, you are likely to throw the shot off line. Other sports, there is more room for error when it comes to unnecessary movement...
You say Shaw does not have solid bridge or fundamentals? He absolutely has a perfect cue action that goes in a dead straight line. He cues the ball as good as anyone in the world, uses an open bridge (which is preferred on fine cloths) and uses a snooker style stance. Could you be more specific...
WANT TO BUY: Uni-Loc Break Shaft. I broke my break Shaft and I need a new one! Is a Predator BK-2 FYI - any predator or similar Low Deflection Break shaft with Uni-Loc pin will work. Please have it roll straight, no dings, and a resin or similar tip.
Sky has far from perfect fundamentals, but he does not have much body movement.
Daz has the best fundamentals of any of the players playing this year.
Sky has an awkward elbow angle - not something you'd teach, anyway.
Some great players don't have perfect 90 Degree angles on the back arm...
Put Corey against any one of those Europeans 9-Ball Rack your own race to 21 on a normal table (not brand new cloth) for the cash and he's going to roast all of them with the potential exception of Daz. He'll pull out a soft break and run rack after rack.
Just because he doesn't use an "aiming...
Anyone remember the name of a Poolhall in the 1960's and 70's on 14th street in Manhattan? It was on a second floor walk up. Maybe somewhere on the east side in that area.

Pool = Gambling.
Furthermore:
Soccer = Gambling.
Football = Gambling.
Baseball = Gambling.
Snooker - the highest paying cue sport... is backed by "Betvictor" - a sports gambling website.
To deny the gambling aspect in sports is naive.
Also, to deny the fact that Pool being on T.V. is...
