What to do with a broken Gus Szamboti?

Amazing job. Must be very satisfying to be able to repair something like that.

    Rags to Rifleman book

There's one on ebay right now for $200. I want it but didn't want to spend $200.

O.B. Spotter. The ultimate billiard practice machine!

I don't know if it was one of these units or not but I saw someone at Chester's in OKC using one of these types of machines about a week or so ago. I was in there a few hours and he practiced with it the whole time.

My first cue from Cody Cash at PK Custom Cues

Previously (80's and 90's) I played with a lot of Meucci's, Joss, and some other more mass produced cues. I quit playing for a long time and started back a few months ago. I started reading about the different cue makers in Wichita and found this one on the route66cues site. These pics are from...

    Five point cues

There's a gorgeous Treadway five point on Recollection Cues right now. I can't afford it but it's nice.

    GC3 price ?

I can't say for sure but I just finished going through the process of locating one and getting here and set up. In my case I ended up buying a GC4 but I was really just looking for any Gold Crown. It seemed that most that I found were on Facebook which was an issue for me because I don't have...

Old Matches - How important is commentary?

My favorite matches to watch are any matches with Buddy Hall playing and Grady Matthews announcing.

McDermott cues in The Color Of Money

Everything you said in this post brought back memories for me. I had a lot of different cues but was fond of Meucci's in the late 80's and 90's. I was already interested in pool before the Color of Money came out but it really ignited it to another degree. No telling how many shafts I sanded...

    Honduran Rosewood Burl Collection

Interesting to see what everyone likes out of the group. They are all fantastic but #4 and #10 are my favorites. Great collection.

    Amazon perimeter style light

Sure dude, you can win whatever argument you are trying to have. My original post was a response to someone considering buying a light. The same light I had sitting in a box under my table at the time. I was annoyed with that light so I relayed my experience with that in case he was still...

    Amazon perimeter style light

I'm sure I could get by with only leaving the blinds open and having sunlight filter through. In fact, I could probably get by without a table at all. I am certain I didn't need Centennial balls but I bought those. I don't need my boat because I don't live on the water. Thing is, I am not...

    Amazon perimeter style light

They responded to my criticism of their instructions by sending me an actual video showing how they do it. The video shows the light upside down from the instruction manual. You also have to remove the diffuser and the white plastic piece behind that in the area of the joints and then put them...

    Amazon perimeter style light

I just bought one and it's sitting in the box on the floor waiting to go back. I've had a few people not be able to figure out how to join the pieces together. The manual they send is a two page tiny pic piece of crap. I go to the website to find a real manual, download it, doesn't match the...

New (to me) Gold Crown IV

I'm not sure I play well enough to know at the moment. It's a 2 hour drive round trip for us to play on any 9 footer, so this is great for me and the wife.

New (to me) Gold Crown IV

Just had this GCIV installed that came out of Side Pockets in Blue Springs, MO. Kim Thompson and his son came and did the install. I could not be happier. He had a lot of good things to say about the GCVII tables that replaced these. Not the greatest pic.
