If you were really cutting without TS support on a long extension, that would seem to be a large part of the issue? If you had adequate support and were cutting metal, plastic, and wood all in the same pass with the same cutter, it is possible that the carbide chipped or dulled on the metal...

It's nice to have a table larger than a 14" saw for that. Plus, 16" seems to be a baseline where manufacturers decide the purchaser is a serious user, and make them a little heavier and a little "nicer" in terms of ease of use, alignments, etc. If you can get one of the Euro saws in 20" or...

That's either nice rosewood veneer with some tasteful :) contrast; or walnut same spec. Not gonna bet from this distance....the rails look walnut in the photos, and the skirts look like...."stained quality hardwood"..... "Contrast" e.g. sapwood, used to bother me in veneers. But it has grown...

Can anyone ID approximate age and Aramith quality level for these base on packaging visuals? Does the cue ball look like it belongs to the set? TIA. smt
