People posting about balls staying down on a scratch or the lowest ball behind the line going down on a scratch and just the ball before the nine spotting up…that’s how bar table ring games were played.
On 9 footers everything spotted up on a scratch. Sometimes there was strategy in that.
Unfortunately a little late in life.
What he wants to start doing at 39 years old is quite a bit different than what he’s been doing for over 20 years now. A different mind set than what’s he’s been doing.
He’s going to play good still but the drop off in play is at any moment.
I remember...
You as well Stu. 😁
I suppose I could have worded/stated it better but I guess we are more accepting than other countries.
I know there’s not so many non-Americans in the HOF and the ones that are won a ton of tournaments in the States or made their name here.
I think I was just pondering...
If you dug a hole deep enough to stand in then you could have your wife drive the ‘mini’ over it and you could remove the oil plug without crawling under the car.
You’d have to trust her to drive the car back away from the hole to let you out though. 😱
Wrong thread?
Sorry, I was bored and...
Oh man. When did Tim pass away?
When I lived in LA in the late 70’s Tim and I played a few times at Alhambra Billiards if I remember the name. He wasn’t doing cues yet but when he started I said I wanted one but never got around to it. 😞
This is sad to hear.
In Detroit back in the late 70’s there was a Gus Szamboti that had at least a half dozen owners in a month that I know of personally, myself being one.
No one could play with it at all. It was a jinxy cue to say the least. Weirdest shit anyone ever saw. Nice looking cue, no one made money on...
Well that’s a nice settlement.
I hope you’re talking about Colonel Bill Rosenbaum. Airplane Bill. Rosie. He was something else.
200k correct? He was losing bigger numbers in Detroit. You’d go to the hanger in Ypsilanti and settle up there.
@mr3cushion
Superfly was the one that originally...
I know you were there recently is why I asked.
If you could get a little land somewhere and put a pole barn up with a couple of tables they’d flock to the place and all you’d have to do is walk to the backyard to watch action.
I know Jay. The whole situation sucked. I would have kicked in a little more than I said if it would have went anywhere and I’m pretty sure you’d have said forget about it.
I’m familiar with the poster. It’s a nice looking cue and $1000 seemed low compared to what people post on here.
You in...
Meanwhile, I’m the only one that offered to kick in to a fund to do something for Jay if anyone else was interested.
But no replies about that. Hmm
