Being a pool player and a guitarist I learned another trick you might like. There is a spray product called Finger-Ease, it sucks for guitar but it is the BEST shaft slicker I have ever found!
RIP Cecil. I was just a youngster in my 20's working as a house man at the old Hollywood Billiards...late 70's or early 80's, Cecil came in often and we played cheap. he was always very good to me and I learned a lot from those cheap lessons.
If you have a desire to better your game you owe it to yourself to play in every open event against the best in the world. Forget the $...it can come and go but experiences make you stronger and last a lifetime.
hmmm I know all the bay area players, I am in Arizona now and wondering about the north bay pool scene. Buffalo is now in Petaluma and a new room opened up in Cotati where they used to be...do you happen to know anything about that place? ~ Bob
Hey Gene! You and I have played a lot of pool together in the KC area, we were usually in the finals and then we would play backgammon for a little fun action. I always enjoyed your company and I wish you all the best.
I think I missed something (not the first time) Is this going to be a movie???? There is nothing like a pool movie for promoting pool! We have The Hustler, The Color Of Money (it was green), Pool Hall Junkies and a few more sleepers. Lions Gate still hasn't come up with Kid Delicious's movie.
Ahhh Sacramento! The ONLY place I know of that teaches pool in high school! Bart Mahoney has been doing this for years. I don't know if this is related but he brings the kids to Hard Times to teach them. If they had this class when I went to school...I wouldn't of had to ditch to go to the pool...
Nobody on the planet has more passion for the game than Earl, you gotta love that! I hope a lot of non-pool players see this trailer and it sparks a little more interest in the game.
Slow players drive me up the wall! I want to see action and people enjoying playing! Alex Pagulayan is awesome to watch because you can see his love of the game on his face! Keith and Earl are always exciting, I like Efren cause you never know when the rabbit is coming out of the hat, Scott...
Thanks for the vids and story's here! I grew up playing in so ca and watched Keith play a lot when he was 18 and 19 and needless to say it was ALWAYS a treat! He actually inspired my game and I learned a lot from him! I also know and have played Dave and a lot of others mentioned on this...
