Can vintage bakelite be used?

I swore I saw this almost exact cue on a post a few years back but couldn't dig anything up.

I was all over the place myself trying to figure out what it could be. I searched all over azb old posts before I pestered you fellas with it!

Love these old biagio cues. Been on the hunt for the chalk holder I've seen a few have sold over time. Hoping someone has one or knows of someone who has one!! It would really be appreciated! Thanks everyone
