I'm not new to pool. I'm new to the way the APA scores 9 ball.

Two balls left on the table. The 8 and 9. I make a combo by shooting the 8 ball into the 9. The 9 ball falls in the pocket, then the 8 ball follows the 9 into the same pocket. With the game being over once the 9 ball drops, is the 8 ball counted as a point or a dead ball?

I feel that crosses the line. If you know the tip is not allowed, and you use it anyway. I think that is cheating. And that is something I'm not going to do.

Understood. But no, this never came up in league play. It's never been an issue. The reason I am asking the question the way I am is because I get an answer of "You can't do that", but with no proof under the guide lines of the rules in the rule book.(It's only their opinion) So I am asking for...
