Converting an Existing Cue to JB?

Kim that’s great info, thank you. Sounds like I’ll likely wait around until something becomes available. I can’t see justifying the cost of building new, when my return to the game is tentative at best. Realistically it would likely be utilized as primarily a break cue, as I never really...

Converting an Existing Cue to JB?

Thank you. That was kind of the thought… Does it have enough sentimentality to reuse it, and how much will that cost, versus even just buying something already built.

Converting an Existing Cue to JB?

My thought was honestly only to use the butt as a sacrificial donor, to remove a section that can become the forearm. The remainder of the cue would be manufactured. Handle would be maple and mostly hidden. Shaft would be PH or something else appropriate for the job.

Converting an Existing Cue to JB?

Ahh. No Dave. That is the only cue I kept from when I use to play. It was sold to me as an Abe Rich, from a well known member here and is and will always be my playing cue. The other cue I’m referencing is I believe a Rich Q, as it matches many of the Rich Q specs. But since you brought it...

Converting an Existing Cue to JB?

Could be, I can’t see it viewing the page from a mobile device. Whatever signature is there was signature that was last created when I was active here almost 11 years ago. So whatever it is, is probably long gone.

Neither you or I have posted a picture, so I have no clue what you’re referencing.

Converting an Existing Cue to JB?

Long time gone… I’m thinking about joining a league again.. After being gone a decade. I have a Rich Q that was a family member’s that I’ve carried around from move to move for almost 20 years now… The butt has a slight lift if I remember right, it had a cheap aluminum piloted joint collar...

Want to Find: This One-of-a-Kind Cue!!

So, back to the true matter at hand... ...has anyone actually seen this cue before in person, or in photos other than the ones I've posted? I'd really like to know where this cue is!

What gives you that impression? Cue Dude, What drew you to that conclusion? I'm not sure it is... I've reviewed the Robinson site; the joints look nothing a like. Thanks for the try though.

Want to Find: This One-of-a-Kind Cue!!

Joint clarification. Guys, here is what I was referencing about the pin in shaft appearing to be intentional. The photos are blurry, but if you look closely you will see that the shaft does not have an insert that the pin is threaded into or stuck in. Instead it is direct into the shaft...

Want to Find: This One-of-a-Kind Cue!!

Thanks for the insight... Macguy, Thanks for the input. We all (members who have previously tried to ID it) have had similar thoughts, especially considering the face of the pin is flat rather than chamfered/tapered/beveled. However... In another photo that shows the joint better, the...

Looking for this one of a kind cue previously owned by AZBer Hunter (Steve). Im posting this here, in tandem with a post in the Wanted/For Sale board, in order to try to reach the broadest group possible, so that I can increase my likeliness of finding this cue. This cue was never...

WTF/WTB: This One of a Kind Cue!!

Looking for this one of a kind cue previously owned by AZBer Hunter (Steve). This cue was never successfully identified. However, I have been fond of the cues aesthetics since I first viewed photos of it. Hunter stated that he sold the cue approximately 2 years ago to a gentleman named Bob...
