We chose carpet due to kids, noise reduction, warmth, and comfort in standing.

The Diamond light PDF says that the light should be 78" from the floor. Mine is a little higher at 83".

I think the light is about 54" above the table. The light completely covers the table and is plenty bright, so I'm not too concerned about it. It does look somewhat higher in the photos than it really is I think.

Thanks. The light is a diamond light that came with the table. At the end of the room you can't see in the photo there are 2 billiards stools and 2 arcade games. I'll try to post a photo of that later.
