2017 World Chinese 8 Ball Masters...who has info?

The lack of info is somewhat strange. They have sponsored Stephen Hendry, Gareth Potts and now SVB, invited many other 'foreign' players to play in this tournament, flights and accomodation paid for from all over the planet yet the tournament has already started and there is absolutely no info...

cueing downwards as opposed to level?

Del Hill, a top snooker coach (clients include the likes of Ronnie O'Sullivan, Mark Selby, Stephen Hendry, Jimmy White, Peter Ebdon etc) says that wherever he goes in the world he learns to say 'up to down' in the local language. The relevant part is around 4.30 on the link below...

    Rome, Italy

Steven I hope you and your dad enjoyed your trip to Rome and that his wrist is better now. I was impressed at how quickly you adapted to the Italian table, only sorry we didn't have more time to play. It's always nice to meet up with fellow AZBers

    Rome, Italy

Hi Steven, finding a decent game of one pocket may be tough - I've never seen it played here. 'Billiards' in Rome is going through a difficult period, many rooms have closed or moved over to card games and video poker as their way to make ends meet. I've never played one pocket but would be...

Places to play pool in Rome?

I will almost certainly be going to play on Friday evening - if you wanted I would even consider going out to Fabio Petroni's place, otherwise to my local (north of the pope's palace). If you are interested pm me and I'll give you my phone number. Hope you are enjoying Rome

    Snooker cue for 9 ball?

When I started playing pool I used my snooker cue, played beautifully until one day the ferule came off (with 1/4 inch of shaft still attached) - I guess they just weren't designed with pool balls in mind.

IPT challenge match - Schmidt vs Ortmann 14.1

'Here is to hoping you win the lag.' that must rank as one of the most amusing lines I've ever read on azb. That plus the one about Ortmann choosing to play 14.1 over 9 / 8 ball because he had to get away quickly ! I think 125 is really a little short, it'd be great if they could increase it...

John Schmidt/Shane Van Boening Vs. Quintan Hann????

It certainly was not my suggestion that the players would be fronting a million dollars, I figured television and sponsorship deals would take care of that. I believe that there are many TV / web viewers of both snooker and pool who would be interested in watching a challenge match between the...
