Storing cue shafts

Hello all, I am having a shaft storage box built to hold 25-30 extra shafts. I've considered some various designs and decided the shafts will be stored in a vertical hanging position where the tip is not touching the base and the wood near the collar will be the primary point of contact between the shaft and the box. However, is this the best way to store my shafts? Will the shaft wood develop contact pressure marks overtime given the downward pull against the wood holes? Would it be better to store the shafts by standing them up on their collars with tips up?
I welcome everyone's thoughts and expertise on the best way to store these shafts.

I have a Porper dealer case. 12 butt 24 shafts.
The pockets are tapered. They also have a 24 butt 48 shafts case.
Works for me!
 
Easily could have done that but I didn't want anything rubbing on the finish. I thought about reducing the diameter of the upper holes and lining them with felt, and hanging them. I ended up doing it this way because I liked having the joint sitting on felt to keep it clean. I'm not concerned about warping given the very little tilt and lack of pressure on them. I'm also in a fully humidity-controlled environment. This was just an "I'm bored" weekend project.

For shafts that are under construction, I always hang them from the tips.
