"Best" 1x1 EXTRA LONG CASE

If you are going to put in it a cheap cue that you don't care about it too much, then any case will do.
I have a cheap tube case for that purpose and it actually holds a nice cue that I like and it holds it well for about 20 years, but it won't fit 30 inch shaft with JP. So I would say, find any case that will fit the cue and don't worry to much about protection as long as the divider runs all the way down.
Exactly. I just need a simple, cheap case that is long enough.

Ok I don't want to be a smart ass and be glad I'm a good guy. You should have just asked me.
According to Seyberts there is no manufactured case that will accommodate 32" components. If anyone knows of one, please let me know.
34''

You are welcome my guy.

You asked for "Best", but need cheap.

By a 39" rod case from Bass Pro and modify it for your needs.
When I shop, I prefer to have the full panorama of information. By asking for "best", I hope to get what y'all consider to be at the top of your list, all aspects considered, including price. There is always a consideration of price when I determine my "best". Price is not the ruling consideration, but it is an important one. An overpriced item can never be the best in my book.

Truth is, I have yet to find anyone who has any personal experience with the subject at hand. It's been fun but not real helpful. (lol)

Holding one cue? Really?

You guys need to stop being cheap and get something to really hold some stuff.

What about your wallet, keys and phone and various other things you carry? You can't tell me you guys are shooting pool with these items in your pocket.

Do you carry your break cue in your hand?
Actually I do keep my phone, wallet and keys in my pockets while shooting, it never bothered me.

Usually I’ll carry a loaded 2x4, sometimes a loaded 3x5. But sometimes you just want or need something lighter and more casual.
Sometimes I’ll go out and the cie is just there in a case I’ll end up in a pool hall

You might want to look at the McDermott 1x1 Wildfire case - listed on their website for $100, also available on Amazon for the same price - I have one of these cases and it is the only case I have that holds my 60" Schmelke cue (30 inch butt and 30 inch shaft, 3/8 x 10 pin). Not sure if it is the best price, definitely not the best looking, but has the interior length, standard cue protection and a small exterior pocket for chalk, shapers, etc.

Says it can take a 32" shaft (in the specs / additional info area) but might be pushing it. I like their cases.
I bought one of these last year. There is indeed 32" of room, bottom to top, as measured by me with a tape measure. Pocket is 15" long, unusual for 1x1 cases, but only 2 3/4" wide, so most cell phones won't fit. I seem to recall the 1x2 has a wider pocket, and costs maybe $10 more.

Still not there. 31.5" to 31.75"

$150 for vinyl will never do.

You ask for 'best'(your word) and when given options you say 'too high'. make up your mind. did you call/message J&J?? Some of their cases will take longer cues but you'll have to ask because the info on their site doesn't say it.

Not sure I qualify

Just get those snooker cases I posted. Go on their site and there are various ones that will fit your criteria.

Or call JB case.

Compact 1x2. Right, no personal experience.

And the winner is: Action ACN11 Ballistic Nylon Case.
Gold Crown and I apparently think alike.
FYI, the ACN11 comes in Ballistic Nylon for $36 or Vinyl for $47.

I own an Action 1x2 case and like it okay. If they still made Porper cases, I probably would have gone with one of those. If the intended use was for a more expensive cue, I would have probably gotten a more expensive case (I have two 1x2 GTF cases, but they have two higher end occupants with 2 shafts.) Most of my cases are 1x2s, but I have a definite need for a couple more 1x1s. Thankfully, I have only one long cue.

Finally, this was very interesting exercise, and I thank all of y'all for your help.

To bring this full circle, I received my Action ACN11 Ballistic Nylon Case on Friday. I can tell y'all I will never have to ponder this issue again. I would be happy with this case at double the price, and I will not hesitate to buy any Action Ballistic Nylon Case (long or short) if in need of a "vinyl" case.

FYI, I have not gotten out the tape measure, but the case takes my 32" (31.5" to 31.75") components with ease, and I think it would even accommodate 33" components.

Thank everyone for your responses and assistance.
