Jump Cue Advice

The Avid Surge Jump Cue is around $200.00.
My bad.. I thought they were the same price as predator 🤷🏻‍♂️ I didn’t realize they had 2 jump cues on the market

I can’t say I can recommend the predator air .. I never thought it was very good. The rush is excellent but it’s also $500.

Got Predator Air II recently. Do not recommend. Could compare it directly with Air II made some years ago (maybe 5 or so) and the shaft wood is clearly changed. Mine is too soft for a good jumper. It jumps, tho. But I'd rather advice to get some cheaper wood.

If you’re patient, you can find a used James Hanshew jumper for not much more than you are targeting. I have a bit of an obsession with jump cues and have owned the Air Rush, Propel, Alex Bricks, Roberto Francos, Chilipoppers, etc. and the Hanshew is better than any of the production cues and the only one on the list I would rank higher is the Franco (it’s very unlikely I will ever switch from this one).

I also have the Rhino jump cue.
It jumps very well.
A bit on the heavy side, heavier than the Air rush and the Propel.
it sits in the middle between the Air Rush and the Propel when it comes to the butt section length. The Air has two identical sections at 11.25 inch and 4oz while the Propel has the main front section at 15 inch / 4.25oz and the rear section at 3.45 inch / 3.25oz, this makes the Air maybe too short with one section and the Propel maybe too long.
The Rhino front section is 13 inch / 5.7oz and the rear section at 5.2 inch / 3.5oz

For close distance jumps, I think that the Air Rush will be best for dart stroke while the Propel will be better for a regular stroke and the Rhino is in between them. For long distance, I think that they all jump just as well
If you get to try the becue naked jump. You be very surprise. Its a really good jump cue. Freaking light. The only down side for me its the tips side. 12.5. Need a really accurate and good stroke to jump.

I think that I am done with shopping for a while…
