Cuetec Break Shaft

I have a break shaft that I use with my Cuetec cue that was made for me by Mueller's over 20 years ago. This Cuetec cue is the lightest cue I have and I usually practice the break with it when I am playing at home.

Anyway, I guess the threads in the shaft won't tighten to the 3x8/10 pin anymore and the shaft stays loose. Anybody know if I can get this fixed? Or would I need a new shaft made? Or does Cuetec make a special break shaft?

I don't know what the issue is but it can be fixed, even if it needs a pin replacement or to re-thread the shaft.
Question is - does the fix cost worth it?

Only a cuesmith that will examine the cue will tell you what needs to be done and how much it'll cost.
Only you can tell if it's worth it to you.

A little hokey and is temporary: Insert a fishing line along the threads in the shaft joint with some of the line sticking out of the joint. Insert butt.

Put a phenolic plug in it and thread it to 3/8x10. Not sure but back then I think the cuetec shafts were metric
