Hey Cuetec, please make a Cynergy CF shaft in 12.25mm-12.3mm

Would really like to see Cuetec add a new shaft size to their Cynergy shaft line. A 12.20mm-12.30mm would be a great mid point between the current 12.5 and 11.8 offerings.

I have been using a Jacoby Black V4 12.3mm for a few months and really like it. I know Jacoby offers a V4 with the Cuetec 3/8x14 thread. Come on Cuetec, give it a go!!!

A 12.75/12.8 would be nice as well.

So just stick with the Jacoby ??

I really like the Jacoby but the chrome base ring on the Cuetec Cynergy shaft gives the complete cue a really great look. A friend of mine shoots with a Avid Opt-X Gold butt and Cuetec Cynergy 12.5mm shaft and it is a very nice looking piece.

Too close to their standard size. Seriously doubt there's enough demand for a shaft that close in size. Have you done something really crazy like ASKING CUETEC??

Does that .2mm really make a difference?

Might as well have asked for a CF shaft at half the current costs.

The way CF shafts are made means that a different tip size is a whole different production.
Whereas a wooden shaft can be sanded/turned down to whatever dimension (and then center drilled if desired) before installing a ferrule.
The CF shafts are wound around a foam core with only a prescribed number of layers. Its not like they build a solid CF shaft and then sand/turn it down to the dimension they want.

YES I DID (since you feel the need to shout). I ASKED THEM A FEW MONTHS AGO. THOUGHT I MIGHT POST IT HERE AND SEE IF IT GOT ANY TRACTION. My sincere apologies to you for asking a question on a general forum regarding a product.

Does Cuetec make a break shaft?

By that I mean do they make a bigger shaft, say around 13.3 that will fit the old 3/8x10 Implex joint?

Do you really look at your cue when you play? I have a few handsome pool cues, IMO. I never look at my cue designs after removing a cue from my cue case. All I see is the top hall of the shaft and ferrule when I shoot. I don’t look at the forearm of butt sleeve again until I put my cue away. The looks, or how my pool cue appears, has nothing to do with how my cue plays or my performance at the table. Looking at my cue designs is like leaving the pool hall to go outside and look at my new sports car because when I get behind the wheel I don’t get see how great my new car looks.

The aforementioned is simply an analogy but nonetheless apropos. If you are concerned about a ring on the shaft making your cue look nicer, unless that shaft is the same price and performs the same as a CF shaft sans any collar ring, you are preoccupied with a cue’s appearance versus performance. Like I earlier wrote, I don’t look at my cues after removing them from my cue case. However, I can’t say that about others that are continually asking to look at my cues.

Triple 60 makes shafts in 12.2mm and 12.75mm, you can get those with Cuetec 3/8-14 insert.

I don’t see the point in making another diameter option.
In fact, I think that there will be a bigger market for a fatter diameter like 12.8mm

The difference between 12.2 and 12.5 would not feel that different as it will require a different taper so the shafts won’t feel thinner in the hand.
See the Mezz Ignite with a 12.2mm

I am just happy Cuetec has a 10.5mm shaft size. The only other CFs that size are Rhino, Cuppa, Konllen, Cuedesg, Preoaidr, and David Loman. I believe there was once a 10.5mm Revo.

Why would you keep a CueTec butt if you’re going to get a different shaft?
Players mix and match all the time, I don't see why that should be a problem. The reason I mentioned Triple 60 is that they have both the sizes and the right adapter.
