Thomas Gold is the only cuemaker I have on my list from El Paso
 
Jim McDonough was the cuemaker. He was in his early 80s. Anyone close enough to go there can buy a lot of good stuff. But who knows what the prices are. They might be dirt cheap or might be high.

I hope he lived a great life and just decided to retire.

I think they had $12,700 on the Gold Crown III so I am guessing high. But then again, I've seen sales where the crap is thought to be gold and the gold is priced like crap.

It was pure luck that I could see the sign on the pool table. I didn't get a chance to make this sale.

Sometimes I see estate sales where people have moved to retirement homes, other times, you know they are "gone." My next-door neighbor sold his company for $110 million, and they had an estate sale to dispose of the contents of their house, with all the proceeds going to charity.

I like to watch these things online. Half the time I want to go buy crap, the other half I realize that all of my collections and possessions will probably be sold for dimes on the dollar by people who don't know what they are. Hopefully, my friends pounce on my cue collection and billiard ball hoard. Until then I remind myself that I probably don't really need any of it....
