Recently picked this up from Stephen Janes at the Joss shop in Maryland. Old school box cue with a theme of fall colors.
Gave him the butt and two shafts that his father, Dan, made for me about 8 years ago to refinish and to retire it.
Wonderful experience.

Schweeeet! 👍

Thank you.
Came with his kielwood shaft.
Changed the tip out to a hard pressed Triangle. Very stiff hit and responsive.
Getting too much action off the cue ball, english just taking off, so I'm working on more center ball hits which is a good thing.
Gave him one of my shafts to duplicate diameter and length of taper.
Came out to my satisfaction.
Thank you.

Nice old school window design. A lot of way older Joss cues have a similar look. Good choice.

Thanks. Steve and I have been going back and forth for a couple of years at the Expo. A collaboration. Steve's the best. 8 month turnaround time. Didn't want a deposit. We just trusted each other since his Dad made a cue for me and his Dad made a cue for my son.
Retiring the cue that Dan made for me and giving it to my son in a nice case.
He's going to get it one day anyway. Haha.

Both cues are absolutely amazing. The latest has to be seen close up. The pictures do not show the actual beauty. The brown leather compliments the woodwork/inlays. Excellent design/workmanship... I know you are enjoying it.

Very classy classic. That one is to be played, and to be proud of. Outstanding.
😎

Have been playing with it.
Loving the kielwood shaft tapered to my specifications. Very solid hit.
Had the tip changed out by a local guy to a hard pressed triangle. At 74 playing the best pool of my life believe it or not.

Very nice. The old Triangles were/are hard to beat.

Crazy story. I use a guy in the poolroom to do my tips. Wonderful guy, a little crazy, very crazy. Love the guy. Generous to a fault. He's in his late 60's and works for a major paint brand advising commercial builders on site on paints and textures.
So I give him the kielwood and ask him to put a hard pressed Triangle on it.
Apparently he soaks Triangles in milk before he presses them like a milk dud.
Well his daughter had a child about a month ago and he told me that he used mother's milk on the Triangle before pressing it. I kid you not.
Didn't know what to say.
Loving the shaft and tip.
Only in the pool world.
