i was glad to see it pop up in my feed this morning, and listened to both episodes at work. also thought i would complement the story of the world open in new york with some photos from the magazine biljardsport from that year:

fran crimi is mentioned as her opponent in the text to one of the photos (eva won).

the christer she mentions was most successful and became world junior champion. i don't recognize any names in his division other than sal butera and di pietro. christer was from my city and died some decade ago after a rough life.

mike sigel won the men's event, varner 2nd. highest run was dallas west's 149.
