changing game

Not better, just different.
I didn’t say that the game is better, it makes the player play better.
The game is different but not by much.
The truth is that on a well maintained table like you have in the big pro tournaments when everything is new, the pockets play wider than they are.

You may be right, but I don't know that tight pockets on a fast slick table are an indicator that a player is "better".
If a ball will slide into a 4" pocket that was missed by 1/4-1/2" on either side because of slick, fast cloth, does that not make it play like a 4.5-5" pocket?

If shots had to be hit with the power needed to play on a nap cloth or a heavy cue ball, how much would the accuracy of today's players fall off?

Don't worry we will have their reply sometime in 2043. I should be retiring about then

How many posts do you need to not be a "New Member" :ROFLMAO:

2043 this guy got two post and still a new member.

And yet where are all the people running out the sets on barboxes with 5" pockets?
I recall Bergman running an 18-pack in 9ball on a 7ft Diamond.

I've even had an opponent who was between 450-500 FR run a 2 pack on me, and I don't even consider him that good. It's not that hard on a 7ft table. Prior to that, I played the same player on a 9ft diamond and he couldn't run 4-5 balls in a row.

Running out the set is a different story though. Requires a bit of skill and a bunch of luck.
