I know many readers would like to get a set of high quality pool balls. It’s annoying to visit a pool hall and encounter pool balls that aren’t clean, mismatched, different weights, etc. I think this started long ago when players would bring their own measle cue ball to use and now pretty much most pool halls use or have available a measle cue ball.

I own several sets of Centennials or else I’d add this one. It is on eBay right now offered by a relatively new seller but I’d have zero concerns with eBay and PayPal protection. Besides, 35 years ago I was a newbie to eBay and now have over 250 transactions. The buyer protection you get using eBay with PayPal is excellent.

Anyway, the seller is asking inexpensive shipping and wants $360 or best offer for a new set of Brunswick Centennials. So there you go because this is the best price I’ve seen in the last 3 years. If you want a set of New Brunswick Centennials, here’s your chance. I do not know this seller nor ever communicated with him. If it still there tomorrow, I’ll likely offer him $335 because deals like this seldom happen.

I posted this thread here since it is pool related, I have nothing to sell so I couldn’t post it in For Sale. The correct spot would be eBay auctions but how many readers browse that listing versus the main forum where everyone visits? I am just trying to help another forum member score a great deal on a set of new Brunswick Centennial pool balls. In my judgement, this post qualifies and deserves to be in the Main Forum with the sole intention of trying to help a fellow Azer that is looking for a bargain on a new set of Centennials but remember to use PayPal as a purchase for your own protection.

Thanks for the heads up! I put in an offer, so will see what happens.
I think an offer of $340- 45 would get accepted if presented fast like you have done. The savings covers
shipping expense. $360 really is a good price when you see what others are sell it for. You can always bump
your offer if it’s too low. I found sending the seller a message indicating your sincerity helps reach a price
that he’ll counter back. My advice is don’t try to turn a great deal into a fantastic one by low balling or you
will miss out to others.

Okay….this thread is concluded…….Randy just told me he just closed the deal.
He has a new set of Centennials heading his way. IMO, it’s the best pool ball set.

Well so much for waiting til payday. I saw them yesterday and figured if they were still there I would get them tomorrow.

🤣 🤣 🤣

I’d be super interested in Randy weighing them on a postal scale that measures to 1/10 gram and use the Willard ball gage on them.

I got them in the mail and just finished weighing and measuring them.

Weight ranged from 166.8 grams to 168.3 grams.

Diameter ranged from 2.244 to 2.25 inches.

A friend of mine has a set of Centennials, so I went over and weighed and measured them and they were were within the same weight and diameter range.

If anyone thinks the weights or diameters are off, I would appreciate it if you would let me know.

they were the best and most accurate in their day.
still like them the best, but some now have smaller tolerances. if that is more important to a person.

for home great but out and about since so expensive, most rooms are going with other brands so nothing is standard.

Nice to know but has anyone translated Euro dollars to U.S. currency inclusive of any tariff expense.
Then figure what the heck the shipping cost is from Germany and better use PayPal for protection, not
meaning to imply the seller isn’t reliable. I’m referring to potential delivery problems & not getting the balls.

I come up with a Euro exchange rate of 1.18 x $245 = $289.10. The current tariff rate is 10-15% so assume
worst case of 15%. $289.10 x 1.15 = $332.47 and of course. shipping cost from overseas is not inexpensive.
So the deal Randy scored is looking even better because he got the Centennial balls at a great price & quick.
