Old COOL McDermott

I made a trip in December to see my buddy Mark Gregory he gave me some old cues. This old McDermott caught my eye I never saw one with Bartleys on the butt cap. The shaft was warped so I sent it to my friend and cue maker John K Bender. He made me a shaft for it and also told me he had played with one in Georgia back in the day when he played on the road. He told me that Bartleys was a very nice poolhall. Thank you Mark and John!

Very nice road warrior. 👍

Barley's was one of the great "upscale" rooms in that era. Their extensive rack full of custom McDermott's that were Barley's House Cues was impressive. It was a pleasure to handle this cue in my shop and give it an extension of life for use in its current home. Would love to see more of these emerge from hiding...... jkb
