I bought my first carbon fiber shaft (the Jacoby V5 with a dimed 12.1mm tip). I have questions. FIRST POST!!!

Thanks for your input. I have played pool for the last 15 years, just haven't lived where there is league play. They bring people in at a 3 or a 1 out here, and so I said 3. Moved up to 4 in 6 matches. I'm not sure what level I am for sure, but I feel solid on my fundamentals, regardless.

@slide13 Thanks for your perspective. what firmness is your Kamui black; ss/s/m/h?

Huh. When I played APA, they brought everyone in as a 3 unless there was ample reason to believe they were higher. The absolute worst player I knew (he had a major disability akin to parkinson's) was a 2. At that time I don't think they would have made a dead person a 1.

They only make people 1s in 9 ball, but it's somewhat common.

It's a Kamui Black Medium. I much prefer a medium tip on the Jacoby shafts since they feel softer than a Revo to start with.
