U.S. OPEN 2026, Frisco, Texas, August 25-30

Capito the last Asian player standing.

Hard times for Team Asia. Yapp has fallen off his form. Chua has dropped WNT-Predator events for his new business and Chinese 9 ball. The Ko brothers made the same move even earlier. Carlo Biado starting to show his age. None of the 20-something Pinoys really breaking through. No young Viet player looks ready to joint the top 50 globally along with Hoang.

The good news? AJ Manas will be the next great Pinoy. Albert Januarta of Indonesia might be as good, or better. And a new crop of young Taiwanese players might be on the cusp. Sun Yi Hsuan is making waves and there are others who could follow.

Yeah, deilvery would be a good option if you don't want to walk/don't want to get into a vehicle. There's a Perry's Steakhouse within walking distance of that hotel, but outside of Friday isn't open for service until 4pm. There's less expensive food options too, but it's either a handful of spots inside the mall right there or on the other side of the mall/nearby tollway.

If you see a guy in shorts and a long sleeve Cozumel shirt, stop me and say hi. It's been a pleasure to meet some AZB'ers.
We’re in the front row, left side as viewed from the head of the table. The guys having way too much fun, even though we haven’t started drinking … yet.

SJM on the opposite side, second row. Tough tournament when Stu isn’t front and center!

Joe said he would like to campaign for people to stop raising their hand when they get lucky 😂😂

Man this is so refreshing to hear on commentary. Someone who can keep it real
On the other hand, Filler raised his hand to FSR after that unfortunate side pocket hook. I thought it was a nice gesture.

I think apologizing for a 9-ball on the snap should be outlawed in today’s break rules.

I actually agree with that, and I kinda feel the same way about tapping the table after every hook (both intentional an unintentional).

Joe Rogan: "I hate the cut break, I think it's a travesty, it's a crime against humanity. The only thing that's worst is alternating breaks. Alternating breaks is basically communism. It should be outlawed"
He is just another old timer trying to turn the clock back to the 90’s. Like he just said….

Last thought for now: The Polish contingent is overrated. Wojo is the best Polish player. He got to the final 64. So did Konrad J, the only Pole along with Wielinski who was on the entire U.S swing.

All the other Poles got knocked out early. Just not as sharp as the players who have playing in the U.S. They need to get out more, not just stay in their European cocoons.

I also don't see any more youngsters coming along save for Kural.
