There have been lots of dominant 8 ball teams come out over the years.
Who do you think is the best.

We had one called Brickyard Blues who dominated for a long time, then a super team from Cincinnati with Jason Brown came around and dominated.
 
There were a couple teams out of Dayton Ohio that were pretty strong over the years. The two time defending Valley World Team Champions are out of Dayton.
 
The team “Pourhouse” which was on the cover of Billiards Digest in 99. They had a slew of Masters National Championships. Their 4 regulars were John Abruzzo, Mike Bandy, Claudio Parrone and Steve Hayes. Their 5th would be a rotating strong player.

As for best team in a single year in Vegas, the British team with Appleton, Melling and Boyes was a bit unfair, hahaha.

I think Larry Schwartz played sometimes. Ran into Bandy at the derby last year. He can still dab it.
 
Richard Black's team, The Black Sticks, were dominate for a bit (can't remember, maybe 3 years?). I think the late 80s to early-mid 1990s. Extremely strong, serious players. I think they won the BCA Nationals in 1989 and 1990 and the first year of the Masters Division in 1991.

The team I was on, the Korsakoffs, beat them for the Houston City Championships one of those years, I think, unless it was 1992.

I'm pretty sure Javier Franco was on the team. Pete Natzke. There was a Johnny something (Gonzales?) who owned a plumbing company. May have been an Estate Attorney, Alvin something, or maybe he was just a player at Cue & Cushion at the time. I know Willie Elder was around at that time, but I don't think he was a Black Stick.

I gave my issues of Texas Billiard News to @Bob Jewett, and I think one of them had an article on the team winning one year.

Anyway, The Black Sticks belong in the discussion.
